Welcome to the 99th episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast! This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 to Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.

Mike and Jeff finish off the Superman books with the May 1992 cover date this week in an episode that ran a little long. There's a good explanation too; these guys just can't shut up, especially about trading cards and cereal. Around all of that they talk about ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #490, ACTION COMICS #677 and JUSTICE LEAGUE AMERICA #62. There is also some discussion about what else happened in the DCU when these books were on the stands and they even read some e-mails.

June 23, 2011: Indonesian Fans Celebrate Superman
Superman fans in Indonesia are celebrating 73 years of the Man of Steel at a local cinema, with a celebration cake, and screening of the Superman films.
The Superman Birthday Celebration is taking place at the Subtitles cinema located at Dharmawangsa Square in South Jakarta. Thursday, from 7.00pm and then Saturday, from 5.00pm.

Members of the Superman Fans of Indonesia community - along with anyone else with a fascination for the man in red and blue - will gather tonight and on Saturday at the Subtitles cinema in South Jakarta for the group's first Superman celebration.

June 24, 2011: Be a Super Hero and Support Red Nose Day
While this isn't Superman related, it is important to me, and I wanted to post it here for all to see. The following news report aired on Australian TV last night.
June 24 is "Red Nose Day", the major fundraising day for SIDS and Kids, who were of great help to my wife and I during our time of need. Be a real superhero and make a donation to help a wonderful organisation who really helped me through the death of my two baby girls.

June 24, 2011: Can DC Comics Relaunch On Schedule This September?
The DC Universe relaunch this September will start 52 brand new titles with #1 issues. The company hopes to engage new readers with this massive event, but they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
According to an insider, DC should have started working on this relaunch at least two months earlier than they actually did. Scripts are still being written and pages still being drawn. Normally for an event of this scope, more should be completed ahead of time. So even if DC manages to defeat the odds and release all 52 #1 issues in September, readers can most likely expect delays as early as October.
So what does this mean for DC and the relaunch? Only time will tell.

The official Facebook page for Toon Tumblers has revealed a full image of the new Justice League set to be relaunched on August 31st in "Justice League #1".
The image shows the new-look team of Aquaman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, The Flash, and Cyborg.
The Justice League Toon Tumblers are a San Diego Comic Con exclusive available during the convention being held across July 21-24. If the Toon Tumblers are not sold out during the convention then remaining stock will be sold online via the Toon Tumblers website.
