Last night John Williams appeared at the Symphony Hall in Boston for a tribute titled "Hooray for Hollywood" in which he was honored by those in attendance as both a genious musical composer and a movie-scoring rock star. Boston.com reports...
- With the exception of the red and blue light bathing the stage, there was no visual accompaniment to the performance of Williams's "Superman'' theme, but none was needed. The hall cheered it at the first notes.
