April 3, 2011: Henry Cavill Talks Superman

MTV.com spoke with Henry Cavill at WonderCon in San Francisco yesterday, where he was promoting his new film "Immortals", and asked him how his Superman would differ from those who have come before him.

"That's tough to say; it's very early days yet," the 27-year-old actor acknowledged. "Superman is Superman, after all. There's only so much of a change you can make to that."

As Cavill, finally, diplomatically, put it, "It's going to be different, but not so different that it's unrecognizable." He then concluded with a laugh,"How's that for an answer?"

While Cavill told Movieline.com that he's had some costume fittings for the Superman costume, although he's still fine-tuning his body shape.

The next step will be donning that iconic Superman costume, which is still being designed. "There have been some concept costume fittings," said Cavill. "I'm so excited - it's fantastic. Really, really fantastic. Sometimes... I mean, I'm sitting here talking to you about being Superman, for example. And then it dawns on me and I go, Oh my God, I'm Superman!' It's really exciting and an incredible opportunity, so as soon as I'm jumping into the costume and stuff it starts to become real."
